The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree…

This weekend we went through some stuff in the attic. Mostly driven by Ellen’s curiosity. But in addition to old boardgames and puzzles we stumbled over an interesting piece with a given connection to our present day.

In the 1960s Penny’s Father’s Uncle Gustav Carlsson was the head of the Riding school  in Linköping St. Ånestad, at the time when the first arena was built (http://www.linkopingsfaltrittklubb.se/Klubben/historik2 ) And at some point Gustav was given this trophy for achievements. Althoug not as fancy,  you can see that it’s not far away from what we receive when competing (and performing) with our Quarters and Paints today.

History’s got a curious way of repeating itself, and we will give the trophy a prominent place in the collections.
